12 Parsecs– Champions Gate, Florida

If your kids are huge fans of the Star Wars franchise (let’s be serious, this booking is for you too), then this themed rental home will create long lasting memories. With NINE bedrooms and 17 beds, this vacation home is great for a vacation with extended family, multiple families, etc.

Who wants to go to bed in Cloud City? You can sleep how Yoda sleeps on Dagobah! Good thing they have warm blankets for falling asleep on Hoth. The kids will probably be fighting to see who gets to go to bed in the Millenium Falcon. Hopefully you won’t have Ewoks wake you up if you decide to sleep on Endor! The rest of the bedrooms are themed just as awesome.

12 Parsecs also has its own private pool. Guests of this home also have access to all of the other amenities of the Champions Gate neighborhood. This includes two golf courses, water park, splash pad, game room, bar, sand volleyball, and more.

Your kids will be bragging to all of their friends and you will be the coolest parents ever after booking a vacation in the Star Wars themed 12 Parsecs. No list of amazing vacation homes is complete without this home. Click the name of the home above to see pricing and availability.

The Hobbit House of Russellville– Russellville, Arkansas

Lord of the Rings or The Hobbit fan? Then you MUST check out this recreation of the Hobbit House. The attention to detail is impressive. The owner of the home is constantly adding more items, more detail, and more amenities to enhance to experience further.

This home has two bedrooms and will sleep up to 8. The first bedroom has a king bed. The second bedroom has a log queen bed and log bunk beds. The living area has a huge leather couch that can seat 12 or sleep up to four more. The living area features a 75” TV with thousands of movies and an Xbox One.

The home also has a kitchen, reading nook, and one bathroom. There is access to a backyard with a fire pit. The home is situated in a wooded area, so it really has the Hobbit Home feel! Despite feeling secluded and in The Shire, you are only minutes from town with a movie theater, bowling alley, and other human civilization.

The Great Escape 2.0– Lake County, Florida

I truly don’t even know where to start with this home! Well, I guess we should start with its size. It is MASSIVE. The Great Escape 2.0 clocks in at 6000 sq/ft, has 15 bedrooms, 39 beds, and will sleep up to 54! This would be great for a family reunion or take the entire little league team after a great season. The possibilities are endless.

Every bedroom in this home is designed with gaming in mind. Pac Man, Operation, Clue, Risk, Twister, Legos, Laser Room and many more. There is one game that is completely XBox themed. There is one room filled with old school carnival games.

Do you think the fun stops when you go outside? Oh no…no it doesn’t. The pool is designed to look like a giant pool table. There is a human whack-a-mole. And you know those giant bubbles you climb into? Ya, they have that, but only on a giant bowling lane where you become the bowling ball! Skee Ball? Ya, they have that too. In fact, I haven’t even scratched the surface. You truly just need to see it to believe it.

Strand Island– St Louis County, Minnesota

The stresses of life and work (and people)  are one of the reasons people take vacations. But many vacations simply put you around more people. What if we told you that you can take a vacation that is not at all people-y?

Strand Island is a privately owned island on the 11,000 acre Pelican Lake in Orr, Minnesota. The home is a fully remodeled 108 year old cabin with 8 bedrooms. You also have access to the 75 year old log cabin that sleeps four. In all, there are beds for up to 20 people.

The island is 45 acres and is yours to roam during your stay. Besides the two homes, the island is undeveloped. You can even pick wild raspberries during season. There is a pier for fishing. Pelican Lake is great for bass and crappie fishing. If you would like a boat, you can rent their 21 foot pontoon for about $700 for the week. Free to use are two kayaks, an old wooden row boat, and a flat bottom aluminum boat.

If you are looking for the kind of vacation where you can decompress, enjoy nature, and soak up the solitude that comes with having your own private island, then a vacation on Strand Island is probably calling your name! Click the name of the home above to view availability and pricing.

OK, so this is pretty cool. You can sleep in an old converted caboose!! It is located on 5 acres of land just 4 miles east of the Mississippi River. Sleeping for up to 4 and children are welcome! In addition to the sleeping areas, there is a living area, an updated kitchen, bath, and gas fireplace. Outside there is a deck leading to a screened in hot tub. Cliff Dweller– Campton, Kentucky

Alright, let’s be honest here…who could do it? Could any of you be able to stay in a home that is suspended from a cliffside ridgeline? As soon as you get to the parking area, you will immediately be in awe! There is 177 steps on the floating staircase to get to the kitchen. 45 more steps to get to the bedroom. Then only 11 more to get to the rooftop deck. I can’t even imagine how amazing the view is from up there!

They recommend packing your stuff in backpacks instead of suitcases. Any food you choose to bring should be in bags instead of coolers. There is a fridge and freezer in the kitchen. That’s a LOT of stairs to be dragging suitcases and coolers!

This is undoubtedly one of the most unique lodging opportunities anywhere. I would have a hard time getting up there, but I am pretty sure once we got up, we wouldn’t ever want to come back down (because of how pretty it is, not because we would be scared. OK, maybe because we would be scared. But it is still super cool!)

The Cliff Dweller sleeps up to four…who are you going to share this with? Book the Cliff Dweller and create a lifetime of memories!! Click the name of the home above to open pricing and availability of one of the most amazing vacation homes we have ever seen.

Pirate Ship Adventure– Lyndon Station, WI

This is so ridiculously awesome! This pirate ship/home/glamping adventure will sleep up to six. There are two sleeping areas. The Captain’s Quarters has a queen bed, sink, microwave, and fridge. The Bunk House has four bunk beds. The two sleeping areas are NOT connected. It is a short 15 foot walk across the lower deck of the pirate ship separating the two.

The majority of the pirate ship is outdoor living area. There are NO indoor living or dining areas. However, there is plenty of upper and lower deck space, lots of chairs, slides, swings, crows nest, etc! There is no wifi in the home…I guess y’all will just have to talk to each other! There is good cell service.

This home is just 15 miles from Wisconsin Dells. You are able to book private rock climbing and kayak tours. There is a gun range on site. You can use it for $15 per day.

There are no bathrooms in the pirate ship. They do have the nice upgraded style outhouses just a few steps away. For showering, there is a shared bath house about 150 yards away. One important note…during the winter months, there is NO running water on the property. You will need to bring your own drinking and cleaning water.

This is another incredibly unique and memorable vacation idea that you are unlikely to forget. The Wisconsin Dells area nearby is filled with tons of activities and fun things to do! There many amazing vacation homes out there, this may be the most unique. Click the name of the home above to see pricing and availability.

Colorado Cabin with Geodome– Baca Grande, CO

This home is pretty amazing! When you rent this home, guests don’t just get a beautiful two bedroom home. You also have access to the super cool Geodome with another bed for stargazing as you fall asleep. I know we would be fighting over who gets the Geodome!

The main home is stunning to look at. The bedrooms are fitted with luxurious linens. The kitchen is equipped with all of the essentials. The design of the home is modern and chic. We love all of the windows that provide outstanding views of the surrounding mountains.

There are plenty of areas, both inside and out, to sit and enjoy the peace and solitude. The city of Crestone is nearby. For adventure seekers and outdoors enthusiasts, the sand dunes and some of Colorado’s tallest peaks are nearby.

This home is perfect for extended families or larger groups to gather, relax, and unwind far away from the hustle and bustle of the city. However, this home and dome has all of the comforts and necessities to make your stay like your home away from home. Click the name of the home above to open pricing and availability.
