In this article, we will be highlighting New Orleans rental homes that have 2+ bedrooms, sleep 4 or more, and have a high guest rating. French Quarter Area
The French Quarter is the most well known and visited area of New Orleans. Rental homes are tougher to find in the Quarter, but we can help you find the best VRBO in New Orleans.
Rare French Quarter New Construction– Typically one goes to the French Quarter due to its historic nature, but exceptions can be made. The beautifully designed 3BR/3BA will sleep up to six. The terraces offer fabulous views of Louis Armstrong Park and downtown. Walk to Jackson Square and all that the French Quarter has to offer.



Lanaux Mansion– Located right where the French Quarter meets Frenchman Street, this historic home couldn’t be in a better location. There are several different rentals on the property. This one is a 2BR/2BA suite that sleeps 4. The Wieland Suite makes up the ground floor of the main mansion which was built in 1879. Despite the age, you still get AC, wifi, private bathrooms, and more. And don’t forget those famous New Orleans courtyards! This just might be our favorite VRBO in New Orleans.



Treme Bungalow– Look how cute this charming bungalow is? Located in the Treme neighborhood (widely known as the birthplace of jazz!) The French Quarter is just a short walk. Armstrong Park with all its famous festivals is right across the street. There is just so much to love about this 3BR/2BA home!



Frenchman Craftsman– What do you get when you take a 1920’s craftsman style home and completely renovate and update the interior? Check out this 2BR/2BA home to find out! This neighborhood is very bike friendly. The French Quarter is a short walk and Frenchman Street is only 2 minutes away. What a perfect and comfortable stay!



Historic Cottage– There is so much charm in this 3BR/3BA home. Located across the street from Armstrong Park, the French Quarter and Jackson Square are short strolls through the historic neighborhoods. There is a small backyard with a cute gazebo for relaxing on those pleasant Spring and Fall evenings. The home even has two balconies with views of the city!



French Delight– Those exposed brick walls are SO New Orleans! This 2BR/2BA home is set up in a warehouse style with tall ceilings and tons of open space. All area attractions are a close walk away. The refrigerator comes stocked with complimentary beverages!



NOLA Condo– Located right in the heart of the French Quarter, you won’t be disappointed by this high end condo and the upscale building that it is in. Because this condo is so centrally located, EVERYTHING in the French Quarter is an easy walk. I can’t even imagine how many beignets I would eat with Cafe Du Monde so close!!



Iberville 2– Another centrally located apartment right in the heart of the French Quarter. With 2BR and 2BA, you will have plenty of room for your group of four. The kitchen and all amenities are high end. If you want to feel comfort and privacy when on vacation, then this is the place for you!



Creole Cottage– This home is so charming! A historic 1837 cottage located steps from the French Quarter and a block from Armstrong Park. A stay in this home would very much be like a step back in time. We absolutely fell in love with the backyard courtyard! If walls could talk!



Uptown and Garden District Area
The next most famous and visited area in New Orleans. Many of the Mardi Gras parade routes roll through this area. If you are looking for a VRBO in New Orleans, we will help you find it.
Tuoro Shotgun Home– Check out this historic 120 year old home with a completely modernized and updated interior. Just blocks from Magazine Street and the St Charles streetcar line. This home is one of the few rentals you will find with a full fenced in backyard. There are dozens of great restaurants and shopping within walking distance.



Historic Queen Anne– This unit is accessible from the ground floor and is completely separate from the rest of the home. Owner occupied the upper two floors. The rental unit is 3BR and 4BA with room for six. The home is located between Magazine St and St Charles Ave, so everything you need is close by. Despite the home being over 100 years old, the interior has been fully updated. This is a stunning home!



Historic Magazine St Home with Private Courtyard– Another 100+ year old home that has been meticulously renovated. Owner lives in the lower level, the upper is rented out and has a 100% private entrance. Located just two blocks from all the restaurants and shopping of Magazine Street and just 9 blocks from the St Charles streetcar, this home is close to so much!



Chez Delachaise– Views of St Charles Ave and the streetcar from the balcony! How cool is that? This 2BR/2BA upper unit is one house away from St Charles and just 5 blocks from Magazine Street. We love the vibrant exterior colors of this home. If you have a larger group, you can inquire about renting the 2BR/1BA lower unit as well!



Uptown Cottage– If you are looking for a vacation where you can park your car and not touch it for your whole stay…then a stay in this Uptown Cottage is just for you. Literally anything you would want is just steps away from this 2BR/2BA Creole style cottage. We love the brick flooring inside the entryway. What a unique touch! There is also a beautiful courtyard out back for relaxing after a day of walking and wandering the beautiful New Orleans streets.



Magazine Shotgun Home– This beautifully renovated 2BR/2BA is literally in the middle of everything. This home has a Walkscore of 91/100. You will NEVER need your car to get to wherever you need to go. Guests have this entire apartment to themselves. Owners are next door and will interact with guests as much or as little as they like. They LOVE to make your stay perfect and provide advice to their guests.



Bywater Area
Bywater is a much looked over area of the city. Home to many musicians and artists, this area is known for its funky and colorful Creole cottages. With this guide, we will help your find the idea VRBO in New Orleans.
Bywater Apartment– Take a look at that wraparound balcony!! The Bywater neighborhood is known to be the hipper/funkier of the neighborhoods. Lots of creole cottages, great restaurants, and more. Besides the amazing balcony, this home’s downstairs neighbor happens to be one of Bywater’s favorite restaurants…Alma Cafe! There is a private entrance leading up to the 3BR/2BA living space that has been completely renovated. The living spaces are so bright and pleasant!



Bywater Cottage– We aren’t sure what is more unique about this 1800’s Creole cottage…the colorful interior design or that amazing backyard entertaining area…WITH HOT TUB! This 3BR/3BA home has been updated several times over its 100+ years of existence, with each owner adding their own flair yet keeping many of the original historic touches. This is a “camelback” creole cottage, meaning an upstairs living area was added to the original single story space. There is plenty of room in this historic home!
